Selma is a 36-year-old immigrant woman working as a caretaker for Adeline, an 85-year old lady suffering from an early brain degenerative disease. Adeline’s family comes to visit every week staying alongside her for only a short period of time. Yet during those brief visits, Selma develops a platonic crush on Gerard, Adeline’s eldest son, while Philippe, Gerard and Nathalie’s teenage son, is completely infatuated with Selma. Selma allows the expression of her own desire to flame up by letting the tease between her and Philippe develop. Nathalie, Gérard’s wife is observing the situation from a distance while planning her own moves. It’s a world of solitude for Selma and Adeline who are obviously the preys in this life.
