SYNOPSIS

Fouad is a 15-year-old Moroccan immigrant who dreams of becoming a soccer player. His father Atif works at the neighbourhood restaurant, while hoping to find a job that matches his engineering skills. Fouad attends a high school where he struggles to fit in and is bullied. Max, 27, an "old stock" Quebecer, lives in his father's basement in the same working class neighbourhood as Fouad. Max struggles to maintain a romantic relationship and a decent job, despite his best efforts. The two young men live a humiliating existence, full of frustration, which pushes them insidiously towards violence. Their destiny will lead them face to face, in a situation from which neither will emerge unscathed.
